Comic competition entry

A few weeks back I entered the Observer / Jonathan Cape short graphic (four page) story competition. It was a chance to create a story that wasn’t about men hitting things – which was a nice break – and ended up as a cross between a kitchen sink drama and a fairy tale, an unploughed furrow that interests me.

I didn’t get anywhere in the competition, but I still really like this little strip. Which is the most important thing right?

  1. Ah, really beautiful and I love that third page. Are you sure you posted it? How could they overlook this? I mean, what’s not to like about a fable about glowing eggs?
