For the latest issue of Wired magazine, I produced some illustrations to accompany an article about ‘Dataism’ – an interesting theory that posits humankind’s evolutionary journey will end with the ‘Internet of things’ after which we can take a backseat and let the machines drive. Could they do a worse job? Who knows.
I was asked to draw a crumbling old city – Soviet Block style, with a gleaming future in the distance. Lovely. A couple of smaller illustrations peppered the prose. A very enjoyable brief.

Excellent. The first reminds me of East/West Germany at the time of the Berlin Wall. With the other two, we’re almost therenow.
